Disney World Asia Access for Disabilities offers a breakdown of the attractions and rides in the Asia
area of
Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.  Disney offers many ways for guests with disabilities or
limited abilities to enjoy their parks.  These pages will show requirements to take part in each
attraction and restaurant.
Asia Attractions & Rides

Caravan Stage - This live entertainment show lasts about 25 minutes.  Currently, Flights of
Wonder
is playing here.  This show features live exotic birds including Harris Hawks, Macaws and a
Yellow-napped Amazon parrot.
  • All guests go through the main queue.  From there go down the far left aisle to the designated
    viewing area.
  • Assistive Listening devices can be used here.
  • Sign language is offered at specific shows.  Check with Guest Relations.
  • Service animals are not permitted.


Kali River Rapids -  This is a speedy white water raft ride.  The rafts are circular and hold twelve
passengers.  It has sharp turns and sudden drop offs.  Most people get very wet during this ride.
  • All guest go through the main queue.  From there a Crew Member will direct you to the
    boarding dock.  
  • Guests must transfer from their wheelchair or ECV onto the ride. If this ride needs to be
    evacuated, guests must be able to walk a short distance or they will have to wait to be
    evacuated.
  • Service animals are not permitted.
  • Rider switch is offered.
Maharajah Jungle Trek - This is a nature observation area that guests move
through at their own pace.  The animals focused on here are from the Anandapur
Royal Forest of Southeast Asia.  Some of the animals you will see are Asian tigers,
Komodo Dragon, Malayan Tapir, bats and exotic birds.
  • All guests go through the main queue.  
  • Guests can stay in their wheelchair or ECV throughout the attraction.
  • Service animals are not permitted in the aviary section but there is a trail to go
    around it.
  • Audio description for the visually handicapped can be used here.  These can
    be picked up at the Guest Relation areas.

Expedition Everest - This thrill ride is a high altitude and high speed roller coaster
set on “Mount Everest”.   At the top, it has some great views of the park.  Some of the
ride is in the dark.
  • Enter through main queue.
  • Guests must move from their wheelchair or ECV to the ride.
  • Service animals are not permitted.
  • Rider switch is offered.
Restaurants

Yak & Yeti Local Food Café, which is across from the restaurant, is a quick service restaurant.  
Some of the dishes offers are Mandarin chicken salad, kung pao beef and egg rolls.
  • Wheelchair accessible.  
  • Open for lunch, dinner and snacks.
  • This restaurant may have some items for your dietary needs.


Yak & Yeti Restaurant offers fine table service for lunch and dinner.  It offers such Asian food as
roasted duckling, tempura battered shrimp, hot tea and Asian beer.  The children’s menu offers egg
rolls, burgers and a veggie lo mein.
  • Open for lunch and dinner.
  • Wheelchair accessible.
  • This restaurant can accommodate most special food needs but advance notice is
    recommended.  
  • It is on the Disney Dining Plan and you need place a reservation.

Bradley Falls - a quick service restaurant that offers vegetarian food.
  • Open for lunch and dinner.

Mr. Kamal's - a quick service restaurant that offers chicken wings.
  • Open for lunch and dinner.

Anandarpur Ice Cream Truck - Ice cream cones and ice cream treats.

Guests should be free of high blood
pressure, heart, back or neck
problems, motion sickness and other
conditions to ride some of the
attractions.  Expectant mothers
should not ride some of the rides.
