The Answerz
Disney World's DinoLand USA Access for Disabilities shows a breakdown of the attractions and rides
in the Dinoland USA area of
Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.  Disney offers many ways that
guests with disabilities or limited abilities can enjoy the Disney parks.  This pages shows what is
required to take part in each attraction or restaurant.
Wheelchairs can be rented at Garden Gate Gifts and Outpost with replacement locations at Creature
Comforts and Mombasa Marketplace.  Small amounts of ECVs are also available.

Most shops are wheelchair accessible.  You can pick up any devices needed at Guest Relations.
DinoLand USA Rides

Dinosaur - This is a three and a half minute ride with sharp turns, sudden stops and darkness.  It is
considered an intense thrill ride.  
  • All guests go through the main queue.  The Crew Member will direct boarding.  
  • Guests in a wheelchair will need to transfer from the wheelchair to the ride.  Remember that
    Disney employees are not allowed physically transfer guests.  
  • In case of a breakdown, guests will need to walk for a short while.  Service animals are not
    permitted on the ride.
  • Video captioning is on some monitors, guests should inform a Cast Member they need one.  
    Assistive Listening Receivers and Translation Devices can be used on this ride.  
  • Guests should be in good health, with no high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems.  
    They should also not get motion sickness, be pregnant or have other conditions.

Primeval Whirl - This is a thrill ride.  It is a type of roller coaster but each car spins.
  • Enter through the main queue.  
  • Guests in wheelchairs must transfer out of the wheelchair and onto the ride.  
  • You should be free of health concerns such as back and neck problems, motion sickness,
    expecting or other conditions.  Service animals are not permitted on the ride.
  • No service animals are permitted.
  • Rider switch is offered.
Check with your doctor about
riding.  Guests should be free of
high blood pressure, heart, back or
neck problems, motion sickness
and other conditions to ride some
of the attractions.  Expectant
mothers should not ride some of
the rides.  
TriceraTop Spin - This is a ride similar to the Dumbo ride but guests sit in small
cartoon type dinosaurs.  It goes around rather slowly and can go up and down.
  • Enter main queue.
  • Guests in ECVs must transfer out of them and into an available
    wheelchair that fits the ride to enjoy this attraction.

The Boneyard -  This playground is for preschoolers and grade school
children. It has slides, tunnels, caves, a jeep and archeological dig sites filled
with sand.  
  • Guests in wheelchairs can enter through the designated access gate.  
    Guests are able to remain in their wheelchairs.  However, ECVs are not
    recommended for the area.  The floor is rough and can make
    maneuvering a wheelchair difficult.  
  • Guests who have limited walking ability can access the upper levels of the
    area.

Cretaceous Trail - This nature trail can been seen at your own pace.  It
contains a primeval forest with a dinosaur, fossil digs and living plants and
animals.  
  • All guests go through the main pathway.  
  • Guests can remain in their wheelchairs or ECVs.
Dino-Sue - A replica of a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton.  Guests can pose for pictures.  
  • Guests in wheelchairs or ECVs can use them through the attraction.

Theater in the Wild - This 40-minute long show is Finding Nemo - The Musical.  The show contains
lighting and special effects.  
  • All guests should go through the main queue.  
  • Guests in wheelchairs and ECVs can remain in them. Crew Members will direct you to a
    designated area.
  • This show has Audio Description, Assistive Listening and Reflective Captioning.
  • Sign Language is offered at certain days and times.  You can call Guest Services for the
    timetable on all Sign Language offered.
DinoLand USA Restaurants

Restaurantosaurus - is a counter service restaurant.  It has fast food items such as hot dogs,
burgers, fries and salads.  Most dietary needs can be taken care of but advance notice is needed.  
The Disney Dining plan is accepted here.
  • Open for lunch and dinner.
  • Vegetarian option.
  • Can remain in wheelchair or ECV.

Dino Diner - a quick service restaurant.  It has various hot dogs and beverages.
  • Open for lunch and diner.

Dino Bites - good for a quick snack.  It serves churros and ice cream.

Trilo Bites - good for a snack.  They serve turkey legs and beverages.
