Disney’s Safari Village Attraction Access Breakdown shows an attraction and restaurant breakdown of access for guests with limited abilities as well as those with special needs. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is made up of six different areas. These areas are called Safari Village, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Dinoland, U.S.A., Africa, Conservation Station (Rafiki's Planet Watch) and Asia. This page focuses on Safari Village.
Safari Village Attractions
Discovery Island Trails - These trails offer a close-up look at such animals as cranes, ducks, tortoise and kangaroo. They are located around the Tree of LIfe.
Guests can stay in their wheelchair or ECV as they make their way down the trails at their own pace.
Those with hearing disabilities can use their devices here.
Service animals are allowed in this attraction.
It’s Tough to Be A Bug! - This is an eight-minute 3D film and multimedia show starring Flik the ant and Hopper the grasshopper from A Bug’s Life. Other bugs in the film include spiders, termites, beetles, weevils and butterflies. This film can be frightening for little ones and contains a scene of hornets trying to sting.
Guests can remain in their wheelchairs or EVC for the whole show.
Reflective Captioning, Assistive Listenting Receivers and attraction translation devices can be used at this show.
Guests with service animals will need to check with a Cast Member for admittance to this show.
The Oasis Exhibits are located by the Tree of Life. Guests are invited to walk through at their own pace. Along the shady trail, you will find waterfalls and streams, wallaby, sloth and exotic birds. This pathway leads to Safari Village.
Guests can stay in wheelchairs or ECVs for the attraction.
Service animals are allowed in this attraction.
Safari Village Restaurants
Counter service restaurants are available in the Safari Village area. They are Flame Tree Barbecue and Pizzafari. Both are wheelchair accessible.
Flame Tree Barbecue offers some items that will meet some dietary requests. Kosher meals can be found at Pizzafari with no advance notice.
Check with your doctor about riding. Guests should be free of high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness and other conditions to ride some of the attractions. Expectant mothers should not ride some of the rides.
