The Philadelphia Zoo was opened in 1874 is the oldest zoo in America. It contains over 1,300 animals on it’s 42 acres of land. The zoo is set in a Victorian garden and most of the zoo’s inhabitants are endangered species from all over the world.

The Philadelphia Zoo is open all year except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and the second Thursday in June.
