The San Diego Zoo has 100 acres and is home to over 4,000 animals. Visitors can see the zoo by walking the
pathways or taking a guided but tour. Some visitors like to take the 35 minute bus tour to get an overview
of the zoo and then decide which areas they would like to go back to explore further. The San Diego Zoo
also offers shows and animal presentations.

animals from the African and Asian plains and savannas. The animals are grouped with others they would

Picnic areas are located outside the California Zoo’s main entrances and near the Wild Animal Park’s entry

- October 1 - 3, 2012. Kids are invited to explore 35 San Diego museums including the Birch Aquarium
for FREE (with coupon). Children ages 17 and under receive free admission with a paid adult (limit 2
kids per paid adult) by presenting the Kids Free coupon at the ticket booth. Free ticket coupon is
available on the zoo's website.
- Other discount ticket choices are: San Diego 3 for 1 pass which includes the Zoo, Wild Animal Park
and SeaWorld with unlimited entry for 5 days from first use.
- Southern California City-Pass that includes the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld, Disneyland
and Universal Studios. All attractions must be visited within 14 days of first use.
- Hotel & zoo package deals are available at hotels such as Ramada, Embassy and Comfort Inn and offer
discounts for the San Diego Zoo tickets.
